Washington Butler is a native of Puyallup Washington was always interested in arts and crafts. She was an actor in the schools and at the community theatre. When she moved into Los Angeles, she studied acting in the University of Southern California and performed as Belle the Princess of Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for one year and an entire quarter. She quit college to find an agent to represent her talents who would let her audition for television and films. Although initially she was not a fan of the film's sexual violence and nakedness, she eventually came to be convinced of the storyline's feminist tone and powerful character. Butler played Jennifer Hills who, after being brutally attacked inside a cabin in the forest and sexually assaulted by a gang, vows to take revenge on the perpetrators. The film was directed by Steven R. Monroe the film premiered on October 8th of 2010. Butler began shooting The Stranger Within, a psychological thriller that starred Estella Warr, and William Baldwin on Mallorca in Spain, in November 2011. The film will also be made on location in Copenhagen Denmark as well as New York City. In June 2012, she teamed up with Michael Biehn in the Los Angeles filming of Treachery. Butler co-starred with Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
